Happy Birthday and Happy New Year!

Hi! Well, I hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas. Ours was certainly nice. We spent time with family and had a restful time. As most of you know, I celebrated my 30th Birthday in the past week. I was feeling quite old but now I'm over it. I was blessed with an awesome birthday due to some great secret planning on the part of my husband. I had requested that on my birthday we go ice skating and go to J&G's Pizza in Sylvania. (It's quite yummy). So on Wednesday, we started driving to pizza (or so I thought) and we took a wrong turn (or so I thought) and ended up at Tam-O-Shanter in Sylvania to go ice skating. I thought, "Oh!! This will be fun." When we went in, our friend Stephanie was there and I thought, "Oh..it's a surprise and Stephanie came to ice skate with us." Well, then I turned around and Shannon was there. And then Brian and Carrie...and then Janette...and then Scott and Ellen and Corey. Everybody came!!! I enjoyed ice skating. It took me awhile to catch on and I'm sure I looked silly doing it because I had to make my hands do this "wax on wax off" move so I wouldn't tip over. I finally started skating fast and then I crashed. I fell forward (I didn't know that was possible) crashing both knees first and then my hip. I have 2 bruised knees to prove how much fun I had!! Then, we all loaded up in our cars and drove to J&G's Pizza where we waited for an hour and 10 minutes. Thank you to all our friends who stood for that long while cramped like sardines so that I could have pizza. Thanks to Heidi and Clint who stood for an hour and 30 minutes while being the "seat holders." It was so much fun. The pizza was wonderful, I was blessed with all kinds of nice presents, and most importantly all our friends were there. Thanks to everyone for driving all the way to Sylvania for my birthday. I had an awesome time. And thanks to my wonderful husband Aaron for making it all happen. I love you!

It's here!

Hi- Well...it's almost here. Christmas! I am so not ready. Doing the Christmas play always puts me so behind regarding Christmas. I know I had days off between rehearsals and performances, but you're always so tired that you just want to rest. So, now, I have a bunch of shopping to do in the next 6 days. We've been partying hard lately. Last Thursday, we had the cast party for the play. We got to watch the performance on video so that was fun. On Friday, we went to a Christmas party with Aaron's old boss. On Saturday, we went to a Christmas party at Shannon and Jenette's. On Sunday, we had Christmas with my Dad's side in Columbus. Tonight, my Mom and I are going to the Healing Service at the Prayer Center. The service was really nice the last time I went. So thankfully, there's nothing planned on the agenda for Tuesday through Friday night. I would love to sit and do nothing, but there's so much to do. If I don't write again soon, I hope everyone has a restful and joyful Christmas. I pray our eyes would be able to focus on the reason behind the craziness....JESUS!! :)

Hi everyone- Well, the play is over and we all survived. The play went quite well. We were sold out of tickets for every performance of last weekend. It's always exciting to perform for a packed house! I loved doing my part because there was always room for improvement and growth. Every night before we went on, we'd practice and think up new things to make it better. I think if I ever got to do the part again, there is still stuff I could do to make it better. I liked playing a "part." In "Jesus Is Alive" there's mostly singing and dancing. It's not like you're really pretending to be someone else. So, now Christmas starts. I don't have that many Christmas presents to buy this year, but I do have some to buy. I should try and be creative this year. Aaron goes to church tonight to help with the set take down. In March, we'll be putting the set back up again for "Jesus Is Alive." We'll see if I get caught up on stuff tonight or if I choose to rest. Opening Weekend

Hi everyone- Well, the first weekend of the play is over. Friday night went well, Saturday night was packed, and Sunday night went well though we had a small crowd. As I was sitting on the church benches last night in the last scene, I had the same thought that I've had frequently during my times doing the plays.... "I could keep doing this play every weekend!" As much hassle and lack of sleep it is at times, I really do love it. I love the pretty costumes, the make up, my long curly hair (that I attach with a hair clip), the applause and the laughter. Please pray for good health for all the members of the play. It seems as if there was a stomach flu trying to go around this weekend amongst the cast/crew, and it needs to be gone by next weekend!! It's weird to think that I have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night free of this week. I feel like I have so much to catch up on though. Well, my Monday's have gotten busier so this post will have to be short. Have a great day! Missy
