What a weekend!

Hi everyone- Well, as most of you know, we had quite an exciting weekend. We WERE planning to just go to Reece's birthday party on Saturday, go to play practice on Sat. afternoon, go to church on Sunday, and play practice on Sunday afternoon. Well, on Friday night, we got some unexpected guests from Canada. We must have inspired Aaron's mom and step-dad to go on a cross country road trip adventure. They left over a week ago with no destination and ended up in Toledo on Friday night! They stayed over Friday and Saturday night. We did lots of good eating. We went to breakfast at Cafe Marie (one of my favorites) and dinner at Home Town Buffet. I made homemade cookies. We went to lunch at the BG mall. It was a really nice time. So, now we're back to normal life. Not much planned (on my schedule.) I've learned that God may have other plans though! Have a good day! Missy :)

Monday morning

Hi everyone. Well, it's Monday. This weekend went by in a blur. On Friday night, Aaron and I went to Myles Pizza in BG with Shannon and Jenette and their friends. On Saturday, I went shopping for the baby shower, went to the baby shower, sorted my coupons, took Aaron dinner at his side job, took back the movies, and then went to sleep. On Sunday, we went to church, I had a nice lunch with Mom & John (hi Mom!!), and had play practice. Our dancing angel and Tiny Tim in the Scrooge play are such joys to work with. Everyone reading will have to come see the play!! The dance between them is precious! Now, I'm back to work. Aaron's back is still sore and he has a ton of work to do. He works during the day and has side jobs at night. Please pray that his body could endure the workload! Thanks, Missy

Thursday ramblings

Hi everyone. I hope you've enjoyed all the pictures I've posted. It took quite awhile to upload all of them to the websites. I hope the links worked. If not, please let me know and I'll try and tweak it. Well, we've finally sold our old green Mazda. Aaron delivered it today, so that's a nice stress off our backs. Now we can use the money to pay off credit cards and stuff like that! Our week has been pretty uneventful other than that. The highlight of Tuesday was the season finale of Big Brother. Now we're lost without having that to watch every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Tonight is our first townspeople rehearsal for "Gospel According to Scrooge." I watched (or fast forwarded through) 4 different versions of "Christmas Carol" that I got from the library. It gave me lots of good ideas for blocking and choreography. This weekend I have a baby shower on Saturday and Scrooge rehearsal on Sunday afternoon. Well, I can't think of anymore updates. Thanks for reading!

a whole week

Hi to everyone who are still checking our adventures. Well, we haven't had many adventures since we've been home. Our adventures have consisted of unpacking, doing the laundry, doing the dishes and grocery shopping. All of the things I had a break from for 2 whole weeks when on vacation. This week has been somewhat crazy, because we had auditions for "The Gospel According to Scrooge" on Wednesday night and the casting meeting last night. Orientation for the play is on Sunday. We still have quite a busy weekend. On Saturday, I'm doing out to lunch with my Mom, sister and niece. Then that evening there is an "end of the summer" party with co-workers at my boss' house. On Sunday, we have church, "Dinner on the Grounds" which is a church picnic, Scrooge orientation, and then we're going to Cedar Point with friends. I won 4 free tickets to Cedar Point from the union so it'll be Aaron's first trip to Cedar Point. I haven't been able to post more pictures of our vacation because all the pictures are on Aaron's computer, and I don't use his computer. I actually have barely had time to check my e-mail over the last few days, so I guess I'll have to borrow his computer and try to post pictures. I got a good part in the play. I get to sing and act and wear pretty dresses so it should be fun. Kim, if you're reading this, remind me to try on your bridesmaid dress from my wedding. Maybe I could wear it for Scrooge. Oh, also Aaron's back is acting up again. He went to the chiropractor yesterday for the first time and it made it feel a little better. The chiropractor said Aaron needs to do his back exercises (which we already knew.) So, please pray that Aaron's back feels better and that he has wisdom as he considers some business propositions that have come up. Thanks. Okay, back to work for me. Have a good weekend!

Home Sweet Home

Hi everyone- Well, we're home, but I guess I have to recap the last couple of days. On Friday,we woke up at our Buffalo Inn in Kansas and had our "free full breakfast." This included a buffet of cold scrambled eggs, cold potatoes, cold biscuits, and lukewarm sausage gravy and toast that was only toasted on one side. We drove from Goodland, Kansas to Anderson, Indiana last night. We drove through Topeka, Kansas to Kansas City, Missouri, to St. Louis, Missouri through Indianapolis, Indiana to Anderson. I drove 5 hours in the afternoon and by the end of my driving experience my shoulders hurt. We got to our hotel last night after 11 (Eastern time)...we went through 2 time zones yesterday. We discovered that the free wireless internet didn't work, so we went to bed. Got up around 6:20 am and were on the road around 6:45. We got home to Toledo just before 10 am. Boy is it good to be home. I love my house. I love my bed. I love my fridge with food that I like. I'll post pictures later today when we've downloaded them. Thanks for reading. I may continue posting since it has been so fun this far. Love, Missy
